YOUR SMALLER SCALE SPECIALIST

"KIT OF THE MONTH" CLUB FOR MISS LYDIA PICKETT KITS

We invite you to join our new club which enables you to spread the cost of these lovely sets of furniture kits.  The club has been going now for a year, with further information being mailed out as new items are created by the maker.  New members are always welcome.  As of May  15 we have 40 members from all over the world. This is a club with one purpose--to allow you to purchase the series of kits at a cost you determine, be it £5.00 a month or £50.00.  Most members choose around £15.00 a month. It is not a club in the sense that you meet in a group or correspond with one another, although some members who belong to clubs do make the kits together.

MISS LYDIA PICKETT is a little dog who lives in Maine. She tells the charming story of the family she lives with and the way the little cottage by the sea has been furnished. Each kit has one installment of the story. Her Mom and Dad are great "make do" people and always "repurpose" items they find here and there. One cupboard was created from an old Chicken Coop, and part of the Bathroom was formed from garden lattice.

These kits are made by Robin and Sean Betterley, well know American designers, and come in 1/48th, 1/24th, and 1/12th scales. They are beautifully detailed kits with complete graphics to apply. Each scale has its own schedule of shipments and payment plan. The average payment will be £15.00. Note that is Pounds Sterling. That equates to about $28.00 US. The postage will be £1.00 for each shipment in the UK and £2.00 for everywhere else. Sometimes you will get two kits a month, sometimes (with larger scales) you may get one kit every two months. It all depends on the cost of the item of the month. A small extra gift will be sent occasionally too.

As of May  2008 most of the rooms of furniture have been released and we eagerly await the remaining kitchen and loft area kits.  The gorgeous Pickett Hill, the quarter scale house made to house this wonderful furniture has been released.. It is soooo beautiful, and so perfect for the furniture. It will become a family heirloom. You can see these lovely designs by going to the e-shop at www.insomesmallway.co.ukand clicking on Product Overview in the column at the right of the page. Then scroll through the various categories. I absolutely love it all!

Each kit comes with its own beautiful Graphics to apply, and with matching fabrics where applicable.  There is usually a tiny special "extra" in the kit too.

I have started this kit club as a result of prompting by a customer, who was "drooling" over Lydia Pickett kits,  but who found it would be budget breaking to buy them  all at once, but could afford it if spread out over time.

There is no formal contract for this club, just an agreement among friends.  You may opt out for any month where you already have the item, or don't require it, and may opt out completely at any time with one months notice.

For further information email me at judith.a.dowden@hotmail.co.uk Please leave your snail mailing address so I can post the information pack to you.  There is no deadline for joining and latejoiners can choose what pieces they want and when they want them sent.  As of June 1st, 2008, I have extended the "club" to include other items on my website as well.  If you would like to pay for items monthly I can arrange it .  For example, should you choose to have the Castle Kari and associated furniture kits and would like to pay £10.00 a month toward the castle and £5.00 a month toward the furniture, I will send one or two furniture kits a month and send the Castle kit when you have saved the full amount.  Postage is just £1.00 a month. You chose what you want and how much monthly you want to pay.  Email me if you are interested.
